What a great first issue of Gopher Underground
The first issue of the gopher underground was a fantastic! I loved the choice to make it a cheeky parody of administerspeak on the first two pages, and then all those really helpful blurbs on all the projects happening right now. It was so clever and visually appealing and well-written. I'm still laughing... "Come on.... if [liberal arts folks] were splicing genes or making touchdowns instead of writing books, I'd be cutting them fat checks. But they're not, so... whatever." Hysterical. Well done!
We should make a billions of copies of these things (you can download the first newsletter) and put them around our department. It seems to work in the English department to put them on desks in the computer lab so people read them while they wait for pages to download...
